SMB Bangor #53: 360 degrees of social media for nonprofits

Posted on February 19, 2016

We hear stories all the time about how big brands and corporations are using social media to strengthen their image and reach out to customers. But can nonprofits be a part of the social media party? This month we’ll welcome Pat Lemieux of the American Heart Association to talk about how nonprofits can use social media to their advantage. His presentation will cover how to use social media strategies and tactics to enhance events, volunteerism, donations, sponsorship, media coverage and board engagement for nonprofits.

After just shy of a decade at BDN Maine, Pat Lemieux now works as a Corporate Events Director for the American Heart Association. His experience involves live events, social media, sponsorship and donation acquisition, audience development, online marketing as well as traditional marketing and media. Pat blogs about business and social media on LinkedIn and parenting on his personal blog manchild, which can be found on bangordailynews.com. He also co-hosts a social media-focused podcast called the Social Dig Podcast which can be found at socialdigpodcast.com and on iTunes.
